Hike: 7 miles, 1031m

Today was another easy day with a longer hike and the spa visit we didn't manage yesterday! It started successfully with us rising in time to use the kitchen before it shut for cleaning. We then had to go and get 'Yesterday's bake' and giant coffees for further sustinance and enjoyed them by the lake with a crossword as yesterday.

We hiked up to Mt John again but followed the path along to the lakeside walk, which added a few km and gave us different views of Lake Tekapo. Scott went from being very tired to being a stone skimming maniac and then we plodded on to pick up our swim kit. We spent a couple of hours in the lovely lakeside spa which was clean and new and not busy at all.

Back at camp we had dinner (beans on taost without plates or knives - tricky!) and were going to have a beer in town but only managed as far as the public toilets as Scott had left the phone charging in the kitchen so we had to dash back. We got to see the brilliant night sky again though.
