Rest Day

Our plan had been to push on to Lake Manapouri today but Scott convinced me that it would be better to stay in Te Anau for a full rest day. So, we had a lovely lie in and did a bit of emailing before heading into 'town' for another visit to the Fiordland cinema, my new favourite place! This time we saw the kids afternoon movie 'Ratatouille', a Disney movie about a super chef rat. We were greeted with the kind words "Would you like a free popcorn?"...er, yes! We curled up in the big cosy chairs with our popcorn and coffee and really enjoyed the kids film! A great rest day.

The rest of the day was uneventful enough with the usual laundry and food shopping chores. Tomorrow it would be time, finally, to leave Te Anau and we both felt ready to crack on, although our adventurous time in Te Anau had been like a holiday within a holiday.
