Our plans of scenic walks in the mountains around Arthur's Pass Village where scuppered by low level cloud and drizzle. Boo! Instead we did two walks which didn't involve much climbing and both to see waterfalls; Devil's Punchbowl Falls (131m) and Bridal Veil Falls.

We called into the Wobbly Kea for a spot of lunch and a beer then moseyed on back to our cottage via the information centre to watch a video on the history of the area. Otherwise we just relaxed in our nice cottage and made the most of the cosy living room and the log burning stove. Hopefully today will have enabled us to recover so that we can get over Porter's Pass tomorrow and then on to Christchurch.
