Scott and I finally managed a run, which we've been meaning to do every day of the Mama B trip! We ran along Mercury Bay and back and then went straight in the sea outside our unit. As a Christmas present Scott taught me to body-board - what a great gift! (And I have board-rash to prove it!) Anthony came in to join us body-boarding and Mum came in too, so we all had a dip in the Pacific, then a hot-tub, before breakfast on our balcony.

After breakfast we drove up the coast to Otama and Opito Bays. At Opito Bay we climbed up to a lookout and saw people with sand-buggies with sails (not sure what this is called!) I was glad that we hadn't cycled the very hilly and gravelly road to these bays.

Back at the ranch we had champagne and green-lipped Coromandel mussels followed by pan-fried New Zealand lamb and chocolate coins (Euros, would you believe it?)

Scott and I went back in the ocean for some more body-boarding and stayed in for a long time and through a rain storm! We got pretty cold, but were first in the hot-tub, so warmed up quickly.

That evening we played "floral-head" on the balcony to finish off our unusual Christmas.
